Course Description

Purpose

The purpose of this course is to instruct the nurse learner on legal aspects of nursing that could impact her licensure.  Nurses are legally, ethically and morally responsible for delivering safe and competent care in the scope of their nursing practice.  The standard of care for each licensed nurse may vary from state to state but each nurse is responsible for understanding and complying with the Nurse Practice Act to deliver safe and competent care.
